Pablo Cebrian Piazuelo is a multiskilled engineer based in Barcelona. My long experience in electronics gathers from manufacturing of PCBs to computer integrated manufacturing (CIM), six sigma and just in time (JIT). With a strong background in customer services, support engineering, sales and job shop management and project development.

A first degree in Telecoms engineering provided me a strong knowledge of digital and analogue electronics, microcontrollers, digital signal processing, power electronics, control systems and telecommunications. I was graduate in Valencia (Spain).

At the same time, I finished a degree in classical music, playing with different orchestras, solo concerts, jazz bands and many others. During 10 years I have been playing double bass in different styles.

Aiming to gather a deeper specialization in automation systems and PLC’s I moved during one year to Valkeakoski (Finland), where I wrote my dissertation on control systems, SCADA systems and automation. I got an international experience, and skills in AC/DC motors, simulation, international business, etc. Developing work with national companies as Metso DNA and Konecranes.

After this experience, I relocated in London, where I have had contact with manufacturing and services companies, like ITS, IMO and last QUANTUM. I have been involved in different roles as an electronic engineer and as management.

During 2008 I have been attending my posgraduation. MSc in Mechatronics at London South Bank University. Technical Skills as microprocessor based control, mechatronics and engineering of materials have been acquired, while, in the other hand, I have acquired experience on JIT manufacturing, CIM, total quality management (TQM), Six Sigma, product design and robotics.

My final thesis versed about vision systems and 3D modelling from laser triangulation. The case study were teeth clay moulds, and the software tool used MATLAB and the Image Acquisition and Image Processing toolboxes.

Actually I am working for AQSENSE S.L. a spanish company based in Girona. This is a software development company whose top product is SAL3D, a shape analysis library that creates a point cloud digital model of whatever part from an inspection station based in laser triangulation. The system permits 100% inspection, and it is totally compatible with CIM and Lean manufacturing approaches.
